Needing no introduction? We re-publish and promote the works of Scots writers (mostly from the 19th/20th centuries) who have fallen by the wayside or been overlooked but whose work we believe contributes to an understanding and enjoyment of Scottish fiction/literature. John's debut work 'Ploughing My Way,' offers a selection of a long lifetime of 'Blethers,' 'Memories,' 'Speeches' and 'Poems' from the current oldest member of the Udny Young Farmers. John is weel kent as a champion of Doric and raconteur/entertainer around Turriff. Published by Deveron Press
Annie Christie
Annie Christie cut her teeth writing serial fiction for the McSerial slot at McStorytellers.com online Scots writing site. In 2016 HoAmPresst published her short story triptych ‘Boy Meets Girl3’. Her 2017 McSerial 'Soundtrack of our Lives' is now available from HoAmPresst in paperback.
Kirsty Eccles
Kirsty is involved in Creative Advocacy and is a key player in Guerrilla Midgie projects. She has published digitally and is working on a new story ‘Catharsis’ which will be included in an expanded forthcoming paperback version of her hard hitting short story collection ‘The Price of Fame’ due out in 2018 (hopefully!)
Pat Hutchison
Pat's debut collection of short stories in Doric ‘Sanners Gow’s Tales and Folklore of the Buchan’ was the first 'live author' publication under the Deveron Press imprint in 2017.
Bob Knight
Weel kent folk singer/songwriter, Bob has diversified by putting together a collection of stories based on some of the songs he sings. 'Faerie Trails and Traveller Tales' is published by Deveron Press
Lachie Munro
Lachie has pulled together the writings of Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham into a volume entitled 'An Eagle in A Hen House' under the Deveron Press imprint. In 2018 Lachie will be publishing his book on Stevenson's Kidnapped...
Cally Phillips
Cally Phillips is the creative power behind Ayton Publishing. With over 25 years experience in broadcast drama for stage and screen as well as published novels, short stories and a plethora of ‘projects’ over the past decade she somehow finds time, from time to time, to publish her own writing under the HoAmPresst imprint.
